I’m Alice, I’m a hair and make-up artist hailing from York currently working in LLondon. I’m here to show you what’s new in the world of hair and make-up.
Autumn is drawing in closer, and jumpers and boots are sneaking back into out wardrobes. Here’s a round of what was shown at Autumn Winter Fashion Week in the world of make up and beauty to compliment your seasonal fashion transition:
1.Super long lashes
Jeremy Scott took long lashes to the next level adding spiders legs to every model. Now this is a bit extreme for a night out on the cobbles in York, but a few extensions would take this look down to a more wearable style. I like to use Eyelure lashes available from topshop for £5.50
2.A Powdered finish
A glowing highlighted face has been so popular over the past years; Kenzo have gone the opposite way with their look this season using a power to give off a matte simple finish . My favourite powder to use is NYX HD finishing powder from Boots £9.00.
The eyeliner flick is back! Beatnik chic was shown on Chloe’s models with a worn-in, smudgy feel to it which would be easy to wear in day to day life. I would recommend the Eyeko Skinny liner available at Marks & Spencer for £16.00
A bold lip is a sure fire way to enlighten a boring outfit. This season why not try a dark plum, just like Anna Sui used in their show in New York. I love MAC lipstick in the shade black cherry available at Fenwick for £16.50
Along with highlighting and glowing skin, contouring has been over done too many times. Daks have stripped it straight back to show a natural skin look allowing more focus on the eyes or lips. Try to pick one thing to focus on eyes/lips/skin. Less is more!
That’s all from me today! Check out @alicelinds for more hair and make-up endeavours.
